Made my first jacob's ladder with a microwave transformer. I tried a flyback from an old TV, but it blew up. The microwave transformer worked well and although the arc needs struck, I was able to pull some fat arcs with it. It also makes the Tv go static:)

Changed the transmission fluid in my car last weekend. First I pulled the car into the garage, placed ramps behind it, and backed onto the ramps(so the exhaust goes outside, don't want to choke). I jacked up the front of the car and placed it on jackstands, making it reasonably level. When taking off the bolts on the pan, I discovered that there is no way to avoid making a mess as fluid trickled down my arm. Took off a few bolts to drain into pan. took a while to drain. Removed all the bolts and cleaned the pan with brake cleaner. Cleaned the magnet too. When removing the filter, had hard time removing filter gasket. Ended up using knife to c
